"Memorabilia"series brings on lights and shadows of our inner world, offering the possibility of reflecting "the macro into the micro" right in front of us on a daily basis. Thus, objects meaningless to others, come to life with strong feelings conjuring and awakening unseen potentials from the depth of time, offering to inanimate objects certain symbolic meanings, giving individual or groups of objects emotional energy and evoking feeling or intellectual interest in the viewer.
"Superstars Identities" series
Inspired from the wonderful Universe of the birds, the "Superstars Identities" series follows different iconic characters resembling superstars of our culture.From the large size canvases "Sweet gifts in boxes"" and "Magical forest" ( 200x300 cm each ) to the smaller size bird portraits, the series continues to develop different personalities that speak to your heart with a daring look.
"Hey You !" is 160 x 80 cm - acrylic&oil paints on canvas. A slight pale wind displays the iridescent blue feathers in a pleasant texture along the neck, while the portrait catches the entire attention upon the hypnotic gaze of the royal peacock,
bringing up the feeling of greatness and marvelous in our life.
"Magical Forest" 200 x 300 cm - oils on canvas, brings the iridescent and metallic colours of a wedding into the series of bird portraits following different iconic identities resembling superstars of our culture. Curious beings are ahead to receive the message from
the newly formed pair of Macaw parrots, celebrating together the magic of love.
"Sweet gifts in boxes" 300 x 200 cm is a cornucopian display that draws up a fantasy scene from a “Paradise Wonderland”, where birds and insects play all the characters in the spiral of their society. This work continues the series of bird portraits following different iconic identities resembling superstars of our culture. Boxes with sweet temptations for some and fulfilments for others, rulers and servants, the king with mistresses and folowers and those who dare to dream of freedom and rise above the illusion of their society.
